ADSL Line = ADSL回線 (ee di esu eru kaisen)

• Previously I was using an ADSL line but I have decided to choose fiber optics considering the speed.
• 以前インターネットはADSL回線を使っていましたが、速度を考え光回線に変更することにしました。

Algorithm = アルゴリズム (arugorizumu)

• I believe a developer's job is to make a PC follow a specific algorithm using programming languages. 
• 開発の仕事とは、プログラミング言語を用いて、特定のアルゴリズム通りにパソコンを動かすことだと思います。

Application = アプリケーション (apurikeeshon)

• As the PC has been infected by a virus, the application behaved differently than under normal circumstances.

• パソコンがウィルスに感染していたため、アプリケーションは通常とは異なる動きになっていた。

Compression (of files) = 圧縮 (asshuku)

• Generally compressed files will have the extension .zip when using the Windows operating system. 
• OSがWindowsの場合、通常圧縮ファイルには拡張子に.zipが付いている。

Directory = ディレクトリ (direkutori)

• Make sure to save all your projects into the same directory so your team can view your work after you finished.
• チームもあなたの作業を確認できるよう、作業完了後はプロジェクトを必ず同じディレクトリに保存して下さい。

Email = Eメール (ii me-ru)

• With the invention of email, work has become extremely efficient.
• Eメールができたお蔭で、仕事が大分効率よくなったと思います。

File = ファイル (fairu)

• Can you please check if the file has read/write access.
• 該当のファイルは読み書きの権限があるか確認してください。

Firewall = ファイアーウォール (fuaiya uooru)

• To prevent an intrusion from external threats, it is advisable you have your firewall software turned on.
• 外部からの侵入を防ぐためにも、ファイヤーウォールを起動していることを推奨します。
